The Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund has extended an invitation to our club to join them at their upcoming event featuring Caitlin Heising '12. Description and link to register below.:
Join us for an evening with SV2 - Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund and Paul Shoemaker, founding president of Social Venture Partners International (SVPI) hosted by Bay Area Ivy League alumni organizations. Paul will share insights and inspiration from 17 years of activating social change agents and talk with SV2 Partner, Caitlin Heising (Brown University alum) and her mother, Liz Simons (Stanford School of Education alum) about their philanthropic journeys. Caitlin and Liz will share a glimpse into their respective passions and work with their family foundation, the Heising-Simons Foundation. A global thought leader on how individuals can be the most effective philanthropists, Paul will share with us why he decided he “couldn’t not” write his new book, Can’t Not Do: The Compelling Social Drive that Changes Our World, and what he’s learned about effective philanthropy along the way.
All are welcome to this lively evening about finding how you are most compelled to contribute to the world around you.
